Revoking token approval on a decentralized application (dApp) is vital, especially if you suspect you've mistakenly granted permissions to a phishing site. By revoking approvals, you can block unauthorized access to your wallet and protect your assets and personal information.
This guide details how to revoke token approvals using the Bybit App, providing you with a reliable method to mitigate potential security risks from unintended authorizations. Before proceeding, ensure you have enough base tokens on the chain to cover the gas fees for canceling the authorization.
Step 1: Access the dApp Page
a) Open the Bybit App, navigate to the Web3 page and tap on dApp.

b) Enter https://revoke.cash/ in the URL field.
c) Confirm the pop-up message indicating you're accessing a third-party dApp and select the blockchain you want to cancel authorization for (e.g., BNB Chain).
Step 2: Revoke the Token Approval
a) Tap the menu button in the upper-right corner and then on Connect Wallet to select the linked wallet.
b) Choose Browser Wallet from the options and scroll down to find the token or contract you want to revoke approval for.
c) Set the token's authorization amount to 0 and tap on Update.
d) Tap on Next to confirm the transaction. Please note that gas fees will be incurred.
e) Enter the verification code generated by Google Authenticator for your account.
Step 3: Wait for the transaction to be confirmed on the blockchain. Once the transaction is complete, ensure that the approval has been successfully revoked.
If the process is successful, you will no longer see the authorization listed for the token or contract.
